HYBRID EVENT – NEW HORIZONS IN AF

Highlighting the latest approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation

Challenge

Due to the COVID pandemic, Boston Scientific had to rethink its main 2021 annual event, ‘New Horizons in AF’, a scientific meeting highlighting the latest approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation, following their successful in-person 2019 edition.

Solution

We partnered with the client organising a hybrid event, where 3 active spokes (Milan, London, Madrid) were connected to a main hub in a professional TV studio in Milan. The event was live streamed on a dedicated platform for online attendees. HWI supported the overall set-up and management of the event through the following activities:

  • Event planning, venue hiring and set design

  • Event creativity, including on- and off-line assets and post-production

  • Show flow set-up, definition of timing and presentation goals

  • Speaker management, including rehearsal, guidelines and branded presentations

  • Live show direction and chairing

Results

The event took place on the 14th October 2021:

  • Over 15 speakers from 11 countries joined the discussion from the TV studio, the active hubs and remotely

  • Over 100 live attendees in 3 active and 4 passive hubs around Europe

  • Over 150 digital attendees

  • 2 live surgery cases from Milan and Pamplona
